Mrs. Hayes leaves to cherish her memories, 5 children, Melvin Upshaw, Mrs. Vandoren Fullard, Janicee Williams (Harry), Mr. Demeryst Upshaw, Myrick Hayes (Cassandra); 12 grandchildren, Willie, Ebone, Janeka, Alisha, Jasmine, Tylan, Tajma, Emmanuel, Khalita, Rakila, Aiden, Amiya; 17 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, 2 goddaughters, Annie Hines Knox, Brencilla Green; as well as a host of other loving relatives and friends.
