Janine Miller Morris
Janine! Our Beloved Janine’s beautiful life here on Earth ended peacefully on August 4, 2023 at her home in Valdosta, Georgia while her mother was at her bedside quietly reading Isaiah 53. Her last words were “I’m praising God for His Word.”
Janine, age 51, was born June 26, 1972 to Janice Sims and the late Hoyte Miller, Jr., in Brooks County Georgia (Morven).
Her maternal grandparents are the late Lovette (Ray) Sims and C.B. Sims of Sparks, Georgia. Her paternal grandparents are the late Catherine (Simmons) and Hoyte Miller Sr., of Morven, Georgia.
Janine was beautiful, sweet, humble, and kind. Her presence radiated any room she entered.
She attended schools in the Brooks County System and graduated from Brooks County High School in 1990. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in English with an emphasis in Journalism from Valdosta State University in 1994. Janine was a scholar and loved learning. She earned an Administrative Services degree, another Bachelors of Arts, and a Bachelors of Science degree. She received the GA Press Association Award 3 times and earned a certificate in the School of the Prophetic; Leadership from Omega Bible College.
She was employed for 23 years at Valdosta Daily Times from 1999 until her health began to decline in 2022. She was a Bookkeeper for K. K. Ministry in Valdosta, Georgia from 1997 until she passed.
At the tender age of nine, Janine accepted Christ as her personal Savior. She became a member of Dillinoy C.M.E. Church in Morven, GA. She served as a young secretary under the supervision and training of her grandmother, Mrs. Catherine Miller, and was excellent at keeping the church books.
As a young child she grew in the grace of God becoming a beautiful young lady. Realizing that God and Only God was the reason for that. Years later she joined Pentecostal House of Prayer and was baptized in the Holy Spirit. She was anointed by God and called to be a Prophetess under the leadership of Apostle Kinchen.
Janine loved spending precious times in the presence of God; listening to the Word of God while meditating with her worship music playing. She carried a sweet aroma which brought a smile upon the face of anyone she greeted.
She enjoyed sipping on a cup of coffee in the early mornings and late nights, while organizing her home, reading inspirational books, and watching inspiring movies.
She had a love for flowers, her favorite being an Orchid.
A WOMAN OF EXCELLENCE! She believed everything has a place and it should be placed in its proper place. Janine lived a wonderful fulfilled life with her loving and faithful husband of 22 years. Janine is one of those special people in our lives that never leave; “Even after she is gone.” “What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose.” “For all that we love deeply becomes a part of us.”
