Obituary For Ms. Jer'Mya Eleby

Ms. Jer'Mya Eleby of Yatesville, GA. passed on Friday August 4, 2023.

Jer'Mya Mikia Eleby was the oldest daughter born to Ms. Jermica Napier and Mr. Michael Eleby on March 20, 2006 in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia. She was educated in the public schools of Upson County and was presently a senior at Upson-Lee High School. She confessed he belief in Christ and joined the Mount Zion Baptist Church in Yatesville, Georgia under the leadership of Pastor Cedric Thomas.

Jer'Mya was the oldest child and served as a positive role model for her siblings. She was always self-motivated and focused on her education and maintaining good grades. She loved school and being apart of the Upson Lee High School Cheer Team. She experienced her first summer job as a lifeguard with the Thomaston Upson County Civic Center.

Jer'Mya looked forward to her weekend visits with her father and siblings. She enjoyed creating Tik-Tok videos, dressing up, getting her hair done and shopping for new outfits and tennis shoes. She was excited about her Senior year and looked forward to attending the University of GA in the Fall of 2024. Jer'Mya was very loving and affectionate to her family and friends. She always greeted her family with a big smile and hug. She ended the time spent with a big smile, hug and the affectionate words, I love you. Jer'Mya was an exceptional young lady and will be dearly missed.

Jer'Mya was preceded in the death of her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Joyce Napier, her paternal great-grandmother, Mrs. Carmella Combs. On Friday, August 4, 2023, her spirit took flight and returned to the heavenly father. Her sudden departure was the saddened the hearts of her family and many others but her memory will live on in their hearts.

She is survived by her mother, Ms. Jermica Napier of Yatesville, GA; her father, Mr. Michael Eleby of Barnesville, GA, her bonus dad, Mr. George Little of Thomaston, GA; Maternal grandfather Mr. Jackie Napier of Yatesville, GA; Paternal grandmother, Mrs. Kitty (Robert) Foster of Barnesville, GA; Paternal grandfather, Mr. Jerry (Mary) Bell of Griffin, GA; two sisters, Ms. Mikyli Eleby of Griffin, GA. and Ms. Jor'Leyah Little of Yatesville, GA; two brothers, Amarree Eleby of Forsyth, GA and God'Dynce Eleby of Locust Grove, GA; aunts and uncles include, Mr. Matthias Napier of Yatesville, Ga, Ms. Jacqueline Napier and Mr. Ja'Cobra Hall both of Stuart, FL, Ms. Rosalind Eleby of Griffin, GA and Mr. Johnny Caslin of Barnesville, GA; a host of great-aunts, and great-uncles, and cousins and host of other relatives and friends including the Upson-Lee Class of 2024 all whom will miss her dearly.

Trice Funeral Home Of Thomaston will be in charge of all arrangements.
