Mrs. Loretta Yasmine Patterson, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 22, 2023 12 pm Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home 909 E. Market St. Greensboro, NC. 11:30 am Visitation.

There will not be a burial service held.

Loretta Yasmine Koiner Patterson was the daughter of Rebecca and George W. Koiner. She was.born February 19, 1950 in Brooklyn, NY and departed this life on Saturday, August 12, 2023. Loretta attended Fanwood School for the Deaf in White Plains, NY and graduated in 1969. She married Levi Patterson and from this union, were blessed with two children, Dorian Sr. and Dorinda.

"Yasmine", as she preferred to be called, was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Yasmine would open her heart and her home to help anyone in need. She loved cooking meals and entertaining her family and friends. Her charming wit and laughter was infectious. Yasmine left an impression on everyone she ever met. Her long, well manicured nails were a signature look. She was very talented in crafts and came up with many creative ideas. Yasmine was a force and lived everyday to the fullest. She would make a way out of no way and was determined and driven in spite of her challenges. She was a very devoted advocate for the
deaf community. One of her favorite social events that she always looked forward to, was the monthly gathering of Deaf Seniors.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her son Dorian L. Patterson, Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Dorinda P. Carver (Fred), her seven grandchildren, Dorian Patterson, Jr.(Asia), Asha'e Carver, Aka'sh Carver, Toriana Patterson, Taavon Patterson, Asaru Carver, and Ayira Carver. Her four great-grandchildren...Lavie, Sophia, Isabella and Lamont. Her two sisters, Mrs. Barbara J. Koiner Hawkins (Larry) of Staten Island, NY and Ms. Joyce L. Koiner of Sumpter, SC., One Sister-in-law, Mrs. Mary Dawson of Chadbourn, NC and devoted companion James Watkins, along with nephews and many family and friends.
