OPELOUSAS - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Greater Shiloh Baptist Church in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Ernest Allen Robinson, 95, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 13, 2023 in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington, LA.

Rev. Frank L. Ford will be officiating the funeral service. Rev. Eric Dupre serves as Pastor of Greater Shiloh Baptist Church.

Mr. Robinson’s memories are being cherished by: his loving wife, Sedonia Robinson of Opelousas, LA; seven sons, Ernest Robinson Jr., Dwight D. (Tracy) Robinson, Ron C. (Chantel) and Chad E. (Shelia) Robinson, all of Opelousas, LA, Michael G. (Vanessa) Robinson of Lawton, OK, Ricky D. (Sabrina) Robinson of Columbus, MS and Kerry D. (Renee) Robinson of Oahu, HI; three daughters, Barbara G. Smith (Charles) of Bellevue, NE, Gwendolyn S. Tevis (Donald) and Laquanta Robinson, both of Opelousas, LA; two sisters, Savannah Greer and Rose Mary Robinson, both of Washington, LA; twenty-six grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Henry and Tennie Robinson; seven brothers, Henry Robinson Jr., Felton Robinson Sr., Elton Robinson, James Robinson, Wilrey “Bill” Robinson Sr., Phillip Robinson Sr., and Lloyd Robinson Sr.; and four sisters, Doretha Robinson, Beatrice Thompson, Ethel Rue and Lillian Hicks.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Greater Shiloh Baptist Church.
