Mr. Lewis King, Jr., 74, of Phenix City, AL passed August 17, 2023 in Phenix City, AL.
Funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. EST Saturday, August 26, 2023 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Interment to follow in Alexander Abercrombie Cemetery, Phenix City, AL. Visitation is Friday, August 25, 2023 from 2-5 pm EST.
Mr. Lewis King, Jr. also known as "Nick Boy" was born on November 30, 1948, in Russell County, Alabama to the late Annie Fleming and Lewis King,Sr.
Lewis peacefully transitioned on Thursday August 17, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones.
Lewis confessed Christ at an early age and joined Bethel A.M.E. Church, Fort Mitchell, Alabama.
He was educated in the Russell County School System where he played baseball. He was employed at Southern Auto Sales as a Sales manager for over 32 years.
Lewis was very kindhearted and compassionate, he loved to dance and have a good time. He was also known for his sense of style and his flashy cars.
Lewis was preceded in death by seven of his siblings, Edward King, Joseph King, JC King, Curtis King, Lucy Spivey, Annie Sanders, and Katherine Preer; two grandsons, E'styci King and Tremaine Hardin.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife of 21 years, Tyra L. King; his loving children, Ashley King, Delewis Collier, Cody Bellamy, Damian Gordon, Thalia "Faye" (Lawrence) Hardin, Tasha Kilman all of Phenix City, Alabama; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Annie (Larry) Phillips of Columbus Georgia; mother-in-law, Betty Davis of Phenix City, Alabama; father-in-law, Frank Lewis of Washington; three sisters-in law, Rosie King, Greta (Norbert) Sullivan and Persefiney (Al) Veasly; five bonus children, Kenneth Lewis, Ernest (Amanda) Simmons, Brandon Simmons, Amber (Jeremy) Miles and Ashley Simmons; a loyal nephew, Timothy (Corrina) King; longtime friend/brother Forest "Butch" Bowyer and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
