Deacon William B. Caple was born to Mark and Nona Caple, October 18, 1938.
He peacefully and quietly made Heaven his home on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Atrium Health-Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, NC.
He was educated in the Anson County Schools. He retired from W.R. Bonsal after many years of dedicated service.
Deacon Caple confessed Christ at an early age and joined Sandy Ridge Baptist Church, in Morven, NC. In later years, he moved his membership and joined White Oak Baptist Church. He served as a Trustee for many years. In 1982, he was ordained a Deacon. Deacon Caple worked in several positions, such as choir member and Deacon Board. In June 2023, Deacon Caple was selected to become The Father Of The Church. He took that position with pride.
Deacon Caple was joined in Holy Matrimony to Hattie Gatewood Caple in 1972. One son was born.
Deacon Caple leaves his loving memories to his wife of 50 years, Deaconess Hattie G. Caple of the home. One son, Craig (Katrina) Gatewood of Morven, NC. Two grandchildren. One sister, Margaret (Robert) Harmon of Thomasville, NC. One sister and one brother preceded him in death.
Deacon Caple was blessed with three sisters-in-law, Penny (Rev. Charles) Bagby, Mary Camp both of Morven, NC and Dianne Gatewood of Wilmington, NC. One brother-in-law, Rev. Daniel (Carolyn) Gatewood of Morven, NC.
A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The Homegoing Services will be on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, 12:00 noon, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will be in the Gatewood Family Cemetery, Morven, North Carolina.
