Mr. Petorey N. Varner, 43, of Hurtsboro, AL passed Wednesday, August 16, 2023in Hurtsboro, AL.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. EST (10 a.m. CST) Saturday, August 26, 2023 at First Baptist Church, Hurtsboro, AL with Rev. Troy Clark, pastor and Rev. Joe Benton, officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation is Friday, August 25, 2023 from 3-5 p.m. EST.

Petorey Naquon Varner AKA P-Dot was born on April 16, 1980 in Tuskegee, Alabama. He was the son of the late Peter Benton and Tressa Varner. Petorey was raised in Columbus, Ga where he attended Edgewood Elementary, Fort Jr. High, Shaw High and Central High School, Phenix City, AL.

Petorey devoted his life to Christ at an early age.

Petorey was employed by Amamark where he worked at Auburn University as a cook. Petorey was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.

Those left to cherish his precious memories are his mother Tressa Varner, sister, Lakisha Brown (Jerome) Columbus, GA; a brother, Terrance Cannon, Las Vegas, NV; nephew, Jarquez Brown, Atlanta, Ga and a host of uncles, aunties, cousins, other relatives and friends
