It was with deepest sorrow that Lavender's Funeral Service announced the passing of Dedicated Solid Rock Primitive Baptist Church Usher, MR. CARL COLVIN, SR., 67 of Aliceville, Alabama on Friday, August 25, 2023 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama.

THE HOME GOING CELEBRATION HONORING THE LIFE & LEGACY of Mr. Carl Colvin, Sr. was Friday, September 1, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Aliceville City Hall, 419 Memorial Parkway East in Aliceville, Alabama. The body of Mr Colvin was in state at City Hall one hour prior to the service.
INTERMENT was in Magnolia Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 9654 Highway 14 in Aliceville, Alabama. Elder Willie Dean Colvin, Pastor of Solid Rock Primitive Baptist Church in Aliceville and cousin of Mr. Carl Colvin was The Eulogist

To Lucy and her family, I'm saddened to hear of the passing of your Husband. I remember how you two were on the bus all hugged up togethe and you two would always speak with a BIG smile. I am so sorry to hear of the death of Carl; death is such an ugly enemy that robs us of times with our loved ones. I would like to comfort the family with a scripture found at Acts 24:15, which reads: "There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous". What is this scripture saying? One day soon, all of our loved ones who have died will rise from the grave and be resurrected, no matter if they practiced good or bad. Yes, you will see Carl again!
