James R. Maxwell, age 66, of Athens, GA passed August 27, 2023.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at The Chapel of Jackson-McWhorter Funeral Home with interment in Fair Play Baptist Church Cemetery, Hull, GA. Viewing, Tuesday 2-6 PM, at the funeral home.

Survivors include: his children, James R. (Oshuna) Smith, Victoria (Spanky) Bell and Germil Marshall; eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and sister, Della (Terry) Pass.
