On Tuesday, August 29, 2023, Messiah Marquise Kirby transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life at UNC Health Rockingham. He was born on August 29, 2023, in Eden, NC, the son of Bobby M. Kirby, and Shanicia Martin.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Bobby M. Kirby, and Shanicia Martin both of Martinsville, VA; three sisters, Azaria Kirby, Ke’asia Kirby, and Ah’Nyla Kirby all of Martinsville, VA; maternal grandparents, Taneka Martin of Greensboro, NC, and Michael Finney of Martinsville, VA; paternal grandparents, Novella Kirby, and Phillip Finney both of Martinsville, VA; and a host of other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the C.R.V. Memorial Chapel at Hairston Funeral Home with Elder Alan Preston, Eulogist. The burial will follow at Fair Haven Memorial Park, 18960 A.L. Philpott Hwy, Spencer, VA. A public viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Hairston Funeral Home between the hours of 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.
