OPELOUSAS - Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mrs. Tina Cyprien.

Bishop Easton Shelvin of Truth Is Ministries will be officiating the funeral service.

Tina “Momma T” Cyprien 52, was born on February 11, 1971 to Carlesta Marshal and Thomes Lee Jones in Richmond, VA. She was the oldest of her five siblings: two sisters and two brothers, Theresa (John) and Yulanda Edmonds, Thomas (Tracy) Edmonds and Jerome Edmonds, all of Norfolk, VA. She entered eternal rest on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 in the comfort of her home.

Mrs. Cyprien is survived by: her husband, Joseph Cyprien, Jr. of Lafayette, LA; seven kids, Joann Edmonds of Baton Rouge, LA, Latara Edmonds of Sunset, LA, Justina (Terrence) Green of Lawtell, LA, Darius Edmonds of Houston, TX, Lil John Texada of Lafayette, LA, Gregory Texada and Johnprayer Texada, both of Opelousas, LA; two step kids, Princess and Courtland Cyprien, both of Lafayette, LA; four aunts, Violet Edmonds, Sharon Edmonds, Linda Bray and Mary Sessoms, all of Norfolk, VA; four uncles, Tony (Vida) Edmonds, David Jones, John Jones and Annaise Jones, all of Norfolk, VA; twenty-one grandkids, Christian Edmonds, Jahayden Johnson, Jordan Johnson Jr., Kingston Edmonds, Martell Morris Jr., La’Jarralla Edmonds, Tinea Jackson, La’Kayah Jackson, Paris Jenkins, Ky’Lee Green, Kylin Green, JaiDen Locks, Tamia Locks, Kayden Semien, Journee Comeaux, Christopher Comeaux Jr., Andre Edmonds, Mc’Callie Texada, Ava Cyprien, Kyson Texada and Zariyah Locks; four Bonus Daughters, Shanique Locks, Angell (Chad) Guilbeau, Brenisha Porter and Jacovie Green; two bonus sons, Xavier and Davien Bell; four Godkids, RonAnthony (Kenyatta) Brown, Diamond Guillory, Ziyah Williams and Ja’Neicia Moore; three best friends, Elizabeth Patterson, Samantha Coleman and Irene Guillory; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She Was A Mother To Many.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home. A Repast will immediately follow services at Life Community Complex (formerly Indian Hills County Club), 1141 E. Prudhomme St., Opelousas, LA 70570.
