Obituary For Julia Harris Hockaday

Julia H. Hockaday, 89, of N. Chesterfield, VA, died September 5, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Hockaday, Sr., daughter, Angela H. Tyler and son-in-law, Major W. Pryor, Jr. Surviving are three daughters, Janet H. Pryor, Debora Scott (Frederick) and Ursele V. Hockaday; son, James E. Hockaday, Jr. (Monika); eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two sisters, Mary Washington and Frances Harris; two brothers, Benjamin Harris and Parrington Harris; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Scott's Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., where viewing will be held Tuesday, September 12 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 Wednesday, September 13 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1920 Fairmount Ave. Rev. Glendi Ford, officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.
