Mr. Tommie Lee Bellamy, 75, of Phenix City, AL passed Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Columbus Hospice, Columbus, GA.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. EST, Sunday, September 17, 2023 at St. Peter A.M.E. Church, Seale, AL with Pastor Thomas Fortson, officiating. Burial in the old church cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday at the church from 1-2 p.m. EST.

Mr. Tommie Lee Bellamy was born June 30, 1948, in Russell County, AL to the late Bradley Bellamy, Sr. and the late Melissa Pitts Bellamy. He was also preceded in death by his five brothers and one sister.

Tommie attended Russell County Public Schools. He accepted Christ and joined Greater Peace & Goodwill A.M.E. Church. In his earlier years, he was employed with Dudley Lumber Company, Phenix City, AL.

Tommie, affectionately known as “Lee” was an exceptional gardner. He took great pride in his harvest of his bountiful crops. He was always in competition with his sister “Cat”, expressing his bragging right of how big and pretty his collards and tomatoes were. He enjoyed and looked forward to the visits from his nephews and nieces.

His precious memories will be treasured by his loving and devoted sister, Catharee Gilliam, Phenix City, AL; one aunt, Hattie Pitts, Phenix City, AL; four sisters-in- law, Daisy Bellamy Bellamy, Mildred Bellamy, Mary Francis Bellamy and Betty Bellamy; and a host of loving and devoted nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
