Vernon Nathaniel Miller Sr. 82, New Bern, passed away Friday, September 15, 2023.

Viewing hours are 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM Monday at Oscar's Mortuary.

His service is 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Oscar's Memorial Chapel. The interment will follow at New Bern Memorial Cemetery.

He is survived by his sons, Vernon Miller, Jr., Varin Miller; daughters, Valerie Miller Reid, Vita Miller; brothers, David Miller, Cedell Miller; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.

To my nieces, nephews, grands and great grands, know that I love you guys to life. Your dad was a good brother in law to me and my siblings. I have so many fond memories of him bringing your Ruth and you all down to Bayboro to visit or to leave ya'll to stay with us. He always called our mother "Muh".
