Delise Yvette Gainey was born December 2nd, 1970 in Queens, NY to Donald Hogan and Debra Coleman-Moss. She grew up in Philadelphia, PA where she graduated from West Catholic High School for Girls, before going on to earn multiple degrees in Business Administration.
Over 20+ years, Delise led a successful career in human resources directing various teams and departments in efforts to recruit, onboard, and train professional talent. In reflection of her outstanding performance, Delise achieved supervisory and coveted branch chief opportunities within the United States Government serving as a leader and mentor to others nationwide.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin, niece, friend, and colleague. A lover of fashion, music, and dancing, Delise would rarely be seen without looking impeccable from head to toe, jokingly emphasizing the importance of her hair and nails. Loved ones remember her as beautiful inside and out, a woman who effortlessly commanded respect and admiration from anyone she graced with her presence.
She leaves to cherish her memory and legacy her husband Marvin Gainey, children Devon and Dina, mother Debra Coleman-Moss (Poppa Joe), father Donald Hogan, grandmother Nannette Coleman, uncles Barry and Gregory Coleman, brother Adam Davis-Hogan, sister Alaina Davis-Hogan, sister Simone Davis-Hogan, her beloved dog Diesel, and a host of other relatives, friends, colleagues, and extended family
The memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, October 1, 2023, at Trice Funeral Home Chapel, 127 N. West Street in Fuquay - Varina, NC 27526.
