MR. ALFRED B. CONNER, son of the late Virginia Bonds was born August 6, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY and departed this life September 16, 2023 at John F. Kennedy Medical Center, Eddison Township, NJ.

He attended the Mecklenburg County Public Schools.

In 1951 he married the late Lola Farrar and to this union five sons were born; three of whom preceded him in death- George, Adam, and Virgil.

After marriage they moved to New Jersey and he was employed by Tangley Rubber Company and lastly Warlaw School for over 32 years until his retirement.

Alfred leaves to mourn two sons- Charles W. (Diane) Conner of South Hill, VA and Wendell Conner of Plainfield, NJ; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Tracey and Donner Conner of New Jersey; four sisters-Fannie, Barbara, Pat, and Sandra Conner; two brothers- Bonnie and Chauncey Conner, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
