A celebration of life honoring Mrs. Ada Bell Nazarene Taylor Young, 104, of Talladega will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at The Word Center. Dr. Darius Williams is the pastor. Reverend Cortney Keith will deliver the eulogy. Mrs. Young will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service and will be interred in the Lane Chapel Church Cemetery immediately following the service. Visitation will be held from 1-7 p.m. on Friday, September 29, 2023.
Mrs. Ada Bell Nazarene Taylor Young was born on April 8, 1919, in Sycamore, Alabama to the union of Warren Taylor and Mary Cook Taylor.
Mrs. Young dedicated her life to Christ and was currently attending Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Ada was educated in Talladega County and went on to work a number of jobs which included midwifery and working with the forestry commission.
Ada leaves behind a long lasting legacy through her six daughters, Patricia Bryant, Melinda Taylor, Angela (Chad) Turner, Sharon (Ken) Taylor, Larhonda Taylor and Corey Keith; sixteen grandchildren, thirty-nine great grandchildren, sixty-one great-great grandchildren and twenty-two great-great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
On September 22, 2023, Mrs. Ada Bell Young took her rest after living 104 blessed years of life. She was reunited in eternity with her husband, Richard Young; her parents, Warren Taylor and Mary Cook Taylor; nine siblings, Sam Taylor, Frank Taylor, Bud Taylor, Lester Taylor, Anderson Taylor, Lurlie Nelson, Cassie Cook, Jessie Curry and Fannie Taylor; three children, Charles Nolan, Nellie Massingale and Josephine Gaston; one grandson, Ledeterick Wright; and one great-great-great grandson, Messiah Taylor.
