Peggie Ann Smith was born on June 4, 1954 in Anson County, North Carolina to the late beloved Mary Lou Smith and the late Billy Campbell. She departed this life to join our Lord and Savior on September 20, 2023.

Peggie attended the public schools of Anson County and was a graduate of Bowman Senior High School. She received her nursing degree from Richmond Technical College in Rockingham, North Carolina.

Peggie retired from nursing after a career of over forty (40) years of service as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Anson Community Hospital and Lillie Bennett Skilled Nursing Facility.

Peggie was also preceded in death by her grandmother, Margaret T. Smith and her sister, Margaret Jean Smith.

She leaves to cherish her memories her sons, Michael Smith (Ivian) of Wadesboro, North Carolina and Shannon Wall of Monroe, North Carolina. Her beloved grandchildren, Imija Smith, Milik Smith, Malachi Wall and Londyn Jones. Three sisters, Leslie Butler (Anthony) of Troy, North Carolina, Patricia Baldwin (Robert) of Mt. Gilead, North Carolina and Pricilla Marsh of Polkton, North Carolina. One brother, Dennis Biles of Mesquite, Texas. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and very special friends.

The Homegoing Services will be on Saturday, September 30, 2023, 1:00pm, Smith's Memorial Chapel, 604 Salisbury Street, Wadesboro, North Carolina. Interment will be at Westview Memorial Park, Highway 74-West, Wadesboro, North Carolina.

The Smith and Wall Family will greet family and friends on Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 12:30-1:00pm at Smith's Memorial Chapel.

The public viewing will be on Friday, September 29, 2023 from 3:00-5:30pm at Smith Funeral Home.
