Celebrating Life Of Mr. Irvin Lewis Porter

Visitation is scheduled from 11AM - 12PM for Thursday, October 5, 2023 at Greater Bethlehem Baptist Church 601 Joe Louis Street, Fort Mill, South Carolina 29715 following by funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM at the church. Reverend Carlwell Culp will be officiating.

Mr. Irvin Lewis Porter aka Midnight Star and Swerving Irving, 63, died September 28, 2023, at Atrium Health-Pineville. He was born April 14, 1960, in York County to the late Bobby Porter and Geraldine Porter.
He graduated from Fort Mill High School in 1978. He was employed with Springs Mills for 15 years.
He was a of Greater Bethlehem Baptist Church, Fort Mill, SC.
He was preceded in death by mother, Geraldine W. Porter, father, Bobby Porter, nephew, Rashad. Porter, great grandmother, Martha Dozier, grandmother, Emma Crawford Porter.

He is survived by son, Marques Rashard Baxter (Mar’rika), sisters, Loretta W. Cole of Forestville, Maryland, brother, Bobby L. Porter of Chester, SC, Geraldine Porter of Fort Mill of Fort Mill, SC, Clarissa Porter of Charlotte, NC, Karen Porter of Fort Mill, SC, Emma L. Porter (Riley) of Charlotte, NC, brother, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Family meeting at 117 Webb Mill Drive, Fort Mill, SC.

Funeral is scheduled for Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 12pm at Greater Bethlehem Baptist Church, 601 Joe Louis Street, Fort Mill, South Carolina 29715

Burial at Barber Memorial Cemetery.
