Rose Richardson, a beloved daughter of the late Oliver and Rebecca Richardson, entered this world on June 17, 1938, in the serene town of Barkersville, nestled in Hampton County, South Carolina. Born into a loving family with numerous siblings, Rose's journey through life was a testament to her enduring spirit. On September 30, 2023, she embarked on her final journey, peacefully passing away in her sleep after a valiant battle with illness. Preceding Rose embarked on her educational journey in the quaint town of Yemassee, South Carolina. As a young adult, she ventured to Savannah, Georgia, and later in the early 1960s, she made the Empire State her lifelong home, with the vibrant city of New York, New York, becoming her new address. Rose's career path was marked by a spirit of service and dedication. She began her professional journey as an operator at Bell Telephone Co., where her expertise extended to training new employees. Later, she took on the role of a Home Attendant at North General Home Attendant Corp. and similar organizations. To complement her income, Rose ventured into entrepreneurship and opened her own business, affectionately known as "Rose's Corner." There, she provided her community with Avon and Mary Kay products, as well as refreshing beverages to quench their thirst. Throughout her life, Rose held an unwavering faith in the Lord. She first became a member of the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church upon her arrival in New York, and her faith continued to evolve as she explored different churches over the decades. At the time of her passing, Rose was a dedicated member of the Salvation & Deliverance Church in Harlem, New York.

Her sisters, brothers, nieces, and nephews, and entire family will always cherish her precious memories.

Visitation: Sunday, October 8, 2023, 4-7 pm in the Chapel of Young Funeral Home.

Family Hour: Monday, October 9, 2023, 10-11:00 am in the Sanctuary of the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, (Big Estate Community) 21 Booker T. Washington Circle, Yemassee, SC.

Funeral Service: Monday, October 9,2023 11:00 am in the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, 21 Booker T. Washington Circle, Yemassee, SC. (There will be no viewing following the eulogy.)

Burial will follow in the Frampton Cemetery, Campground Road, Point South, SC.
