Leverne Kent Miller, fondly known as "Kent," passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023. He was 61 years old when he transitioned to a new life with our Heavenly Father. Laverne was born on October 30, 1961, in High Point, North Carolina, to Brownie Withers Miller and the late James Raymond Miller.

Leverne worked as a machine operator at Dynamics in High Point, NC. He was a dedicated and faithful individual known for his strong work ethic and devotion to God. Despite facing numerous obstacles throughout his life, he always emerged victorious.

Leverne was a reliable presence, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need and cherished his loved ones dearly. Moreover, he had a deep passion for the Dallas Cowboys football team.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Darrell Tyrone Miller.

Leverne is survived by his mother, Brownie Withers Miller, of High Point, NC. He is also survived by his daughter, Chasity Hogan of Atlanta, GA; his son, Antonio Baskins, of High Point, NC; one grandchild, Zamya Baskins, of High Point, NC; his sister, Bessie Sutton of Whitsett, NC, and six brothers: Raymond Miller and Edward Arnold Miller of Garner, NC, Jeffery Lesane, Jerome Lesane, Bernard Lesane, and Shawn Thomas all of Baltimore, MD and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who will cherish his memory.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. at Solid Rock Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 3:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
