OPELOUSAS - Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mrs. Florestine Moten, 66, who entered eternal rest on Friday, September 29, 2023 in Lafayette, LA. Interment will be Bellevue Memorial Park in the Bellevue Community.

Rev. Clyde Young will be officiating the funeral service.

Mrs. Moten’s memories are being cherished by: her three sons, Tyron (Lisa) Hill and Nathaniel (Leslie) Hill, both of Sunset, LA and Jules (Erica) Hill of Opelousas, LA; two daughters, Iris Hill (Mark) of Opelousas, LA and Crystal Mott (Patrick) of Beaumont, TX; twenty grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by: her husband, Jules Moten, Jr.; her mother, Gustavia Jones; one brother, Philmore Jones; one sister, Armenta Hill; and a niece, Lekeita Hill.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
