Alfred “Buddy Boy” Gardner Jr. died Saturday, October 14, 2023.

Viewing hours are Noon to 6:30 PM, Wednesday at Oscar's Mortuary.

His service is 11:00 AM Thursday, October 19, 2023 at the New Bern Eastern Missionary Baptist Association Headquarters 885 Hwy. 306 N. The interment will follow at the Keystown Family Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Moore Gardner of the home; son, Alfred Gardner III, New Bern; daughters, Wanda Johnson, Grantsboro, NC, Juanita Gardner, Bridgeton, NC and Rhonda Dixon, Grantsboro, NC; brothers, Hubert Gardner, Cedar Hills, Texas and David Gardner, New Bern, NC; sisters, Janie Glasper, Grantsboro, NC, Lillie Eaddy New Bern, NC, Novella Green, GA, Ella Gardner, Greensboro, NC, Shirlene Squires, GA, Agnes Kornegay, New Bern, NC, Rachel Clyburn, Greensboro, Marilyn Gardner, Greensboro, Linda Yancey, Greensboro; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
