She served many years as the Music and Youth Minister at Little Rock Baptist Church, Moss Point, MS. She dedicated the name and was one of the founding members of New Faith Missionary Baptist Church, Moss Point, MS, where she served as the Minister of Music and Minister of the Youth Church. She last attended Restoration Revival Center C.O.G.I.C., Moss Point, MS, until she was called into eternal glory.
She was preceded in passing by her parents, Vincent and Georgia Mae (Williams) Chatman, her brothers, Isadore (Celestine) Hyde, Sr., Vincent Chatman, Jr., Leonard Ray (Gwen) Chatman, Sr., and nephew, Darryl Jackson.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband Herman V. McCann, Sr.; daughters, Latosha McCann, Moss Point, MS and Wanda (Patrick) Hill, Fruitdale, AL; sons, Herman V. McCann, Jr., Moss Point, MS and Henry (Lequisha) McCann I, Baton Rouge, LA and surviving sister, Beatrice D. (Walter) Jackson, of Moss Point, MS; grandchildren; Shambria Hill, Desmond Hill, Delan Hill, Malik Clarke, Makaila Robinson, Mia Robinson, Henry McCann II, and Marleigh McCann. Nieces and Nephews; Jacque Jackson, Leonard Ray Chatman, Jr. (Los Angeles, CA), Latoya Chatman (Gulfport, MS), Katura Jackson-Green, Isadore Hyde, Jr., Stephanie Hyde, Reginald Hyde, Alexandra Hyde, Shelia Hyde, Raquel Hyde-Torres, Regina Hyde, and Randy Hyde; special nieces and nephews, Michelle Bivens-Coleman, Spencer Bivens; devoted relatives; Lee Mertice Middleton, Melva Chatman and Lisa Chatman; Church Family, coworkers, and a host of other relatives.
Memorial services will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Crème de la Crème, 3906 Main Street, Moss Point, MS.
