Deon Alexander Heron, Sr. was born to Diane Murray on August 27, 1968. He left this life on October 4, 2023, at 55 years of age. He was what we call an old soul, he was born an adult. I was always telling him that I want to be just like him when I grow up. One of his favorite things in this world was football and old school music.

He graduated from Papillion Highschool in May of 1985. He played football for Papillion High and that is where he met a lot of his friends Chris Regal, Cordel Mack and Bobby Gordon who are still friends to this day.

He met Wanda McCullough in 1987 and from their union, there are 4 children, Deondria, Deonna, Tiara and Deon Jr. He met and married Carla Thomas in 2001 and from that relationship they had one step-daughter Nataya. He was the type of person, you would always remember after you met him. He was always there for his friends and family. He never left anyone behind. When he accomplished things, he took his friends and family with him. Everyone that knew Deon knew he was always running late. If you had plans to meet somewhere, you knew he would be there 15 minutes after the time you agreed upon. Though he was always late, you were always happy to see him. He just made life enjoyable.

Deon leaves behind his grandmother Mary Herron whom he called “mom”, his mother Dianne Murray, his wife Carla Herron, 4 children, Deonna, Tiara, Nataya, Deon Jr.; 7 grandkids, Kamryn, RJ, Christian, Kara, Skylar, Aaron Jr., and Deon III; 5 uncles, Donnie, Ronnie, Lonnie Ray and James Clifton and Tony Barnard; 4 aunts, JoAnn, Dorothy, Mary and Tammy; 1 great aunt; 1 sister Danita Murray; 1 brother Derrelle Murray; 3 nieces, 2 nephews; Lesa Hazley, who was like a sister to him and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
