Obituary For Ms. Raesha Danielle Heard

Celebration of Life honoring Ms. Raesha Danielle Heard, of Decatur, GA., will be held Monday, October 23, 2023, 11:00 A.M. at First Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 816 Maynard Terrace, Atlanta, GA., with her remains placed in repose at 10:00 A.M. Pastor Victor Demond Tate, M.Div., Pastor, Eulogist. Interment will be held at Washington Memorial Gardens, Decatur, GA. Public Viewing will be held at the mortuary Sunday, October 22, 2023, from 12:00 NOON until 5:00 P.M. ONLY.

Raesha will be truly missed by her sons, Rajai and Rylee; her devoted father, Ralph, Sr., and loving mother, Marilyn; her four brothers, Ralph, Jr., Roman, Sr., Roderius, and Raenard (Quin); her two sisters, Rhonda Dickens (Darren), and Jeanetta; her uncles, Richard and Sam Swain (Jessie); her aunts, Lucy Mae, Rosa, Lilly, and Vivian "Laine"; her special friend, Thirkeld King, and a host of nephews, nieces, a great niece, several cousins, countless friends, a bonus sister, Shon Rivers, and her God-Mom, Diane Minnifield. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the residence Monday, at 10:00 A.M.

Dear Heard Family, On behalf of myself, Principal Angela Bethea, and the entire Obama Elementary family, I am writing to express our deepest condolences on the passing of Ms. Raesha Heard. We were deeply saddened to hear of her untimely departure, and our hearts go out to you during this difficult time. Ms. Heard was not only my student when I was principal at SWD, but also a devoted mother to her two children, Rylee and Rajai Heard, who were once students at Obama Elementary Magnet. We remember Ms. Heard as a caring and loving parent. Losing a loved one is never easy, and we understand the pain and grief you must be experiencing.
