Patrica Linda (Brown) Heyward was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the second of five children born to the late Harold N. Brown, Sr. and the late Mary Louise Gonzales Brown.
On Friday, October 13th, 2023, she left this earthly realm to take residence in heaven.
As a young child, she accepted Jesus Christ at the First Baptist church on Adams Street under Pastor Green. She received her formal education from Steelton Highspire School District and she was formerly employed by New Cumberland Army Depot, Mechanicsburg Naval Supply Depot and Weis Markets.
Patricia loved going to yard sales, playing her computer games and babysitting. Her life revolved around her grandchildren creating memories that lasted a lifetime. She loved being around family and friends and always leaves a lasting impression in the lives of the many people she touched.
Patricia was the wife of Elijah A. Heyward, Jr. celebrating their 56 years of life together on October 10th, 2023. From this union, they were blessed with two sons, Antoine Nicholas (Debra) and Creighton Anthony; four grandchildren, Bryan Hickman II, Dallas Brown, Austin Brown and Devon Brown.
She was preceded in death by her parents and leaves to treasurer precious memories by her sisters, Chloe Appleberry, Carole Proctor (Lacottis) and Frances Penn; her brother, Harold N. Brown Jr. and several nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, great great nieces, great great nephews and family and friends who were blessed to have known her.
Patricia's life will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2023 in the Chapel of the Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton with viewing and visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and burial in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
