Ms. LaKeisha Robinette Holmes affectionately called “Keisha”, daughter of Claudia Holmes and Robert Crayton, was born April 30, 1987 in Richmond, VA and departed this life suddenly, October 22, 2023 in South Hill, VA.

At an early age LaKeisha was baptized at North View Baptist Church. She was a 2005 graduate of Park View Senior High. In 2020 she graduated from Ultimate Medical Academy with an Associate Degree as a Medical Office and Billing Specialist.

In her spare time Keisha enjoyed mingling with family and friends, dancing, playing cards and going to sports’ events, especially the South Hill Yellow Jackets games. Her cherished past time was spending time with her children who were her pride and joy.

Keisha leaves to cherish her fondest memories: her children- Ahyoni and Ar’rihanna Holmes, and Myshawn Perkins, all of the home; mother- Claudia Holmes of South Hill, VA; father- Robert Crayton of Brodnax, VA; grandmother- Annie Marie Holmes of South Hill, VA; seven siblings- Rashawn Holmes of South Hill, VA; Robin and Demont Crayton of LaCrosse, VA; Sophia Garner of Brodnax, VA; Shadae Garner of Lawrenceville, VA; TaShaundna Baskerville of MD; Justin Garner of Alberta, VA; seven aunts- Carolyn (Quinton) Alston of Norlina, NC; Patricia Talley of Soul City, NC; Glenda (Aubrey) Holmes of Henderson, NC; Margaret Holmes and Lisa (Tyrone) Williams, all of Warrenton, NC; Bessie Walker of LaCrosse, VA; Melissa (Richard) Gillis of Brodnax, VA; five uncles- Will, Michael, and Charles (Angela) Holmes, all of South Hill, VA; Curtis “Dick” (Margie) Crayton of Brodnax, VA; Terry Crayton of South Hill, VA; devoted and special friends- Daisy Montague, Beverly “Boosie” Hicks, Shanice Burton, Cherice Osborne, and NeNe Coleman, and a host great uncles, great aunts, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
