Tommy Lee Brooks

Tommy Lee Brooks was born November 3, 1950 in Dale County, Midland City, Alabama to the proud parents of Isaac Brooks and Ethel Mae May Brooks. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Shiloh Missionary Church in Midland City, AL.

He attended M. M. Matthews in Pinckard, AL and graduated in 1969. After graduation from high school, he enlisted in the United States Army in March of 1970. In January 12, 1972 he received an honorable discharged as a PV1.

He was joined in holy matrimony to Bobbie Nell Grubbs and to this union three children were born.

Tommy departed this life on Monday, April 12, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac Brooks and Ethel Mae May Brooks; a daughter, Michelle Brooks; a brother, Willie Brooks; a sister, Mamie Brooks and a brother-in-law, Charlie McKinnon.

He leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters, Tracey (Gregory) Walker and Libra (Gregory) Bradley both of Dothan, AL; brothers, Clarence Brooks and James (Betty) Brooks of Midland City, AL; nine sisters, Icey Pearl McKinnon, Laura Stewart, Mary Player, Katrina (Thomas) Agee, Debra (Charles) King, Wanda Brooks, Edna Brooks, Joann Brooks, and Sharon Gibson; six grandchildren, Destiny Mackey, Zaveyon Thomas, Amber Walker, Chassidy Brooks, Aldasia Thornton and Reber Land; four great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Tommy will be deeply missed by all.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 996 Delta St., Midland City, AL. Interment will be held at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
