Helen Olivia Sawyer-Plump, a resident of Montgomery, AL, passed away on November 12, 2023. The funeral service will be Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Mount Zion A.M.E. Zion Church, 455 Fred D. Gray Ave., Montgomery, AL, 36104, Pastor Dr. Claude Shuford, officiating, with Pastor Marcus Plump eulogizing. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, 600 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Birmingham, AL, 35211, with the staff of E. G. Cummings Memorial Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Friday, November 17, 2023, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Ms. Plump will lie in repose one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
