Mr. Horace Cortez Spearman, 33, of Phenix City, AL passed Sunday, November 12, 2023 in Columbus, GA.

Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m. EST, Tuesday, November 21, 2023 in the C.T. Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Rutledge, Presiding Elder of Phenix City AME District, officiating. Burial to follow in New Hope Baptist Church Old Cemetery, Holy Trinty, AL. Visitation will be Monday, November 20, 2023 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. EST.

Horace Cortez Spearman AKA “Spex ”and “Mr. GED".

Horace was born August 9,1990 in Union Springs, AL to Tracey Denise Spearman and Horace Cromwell. Horace was his mother’s only child.

He was educated in the Phenix City Public School System as a child. Horace was also known to have the mind of a genius. Graduating with honors from Central High School class of 2008.

Horace was preceded in death by his mother, Tracey Denise Spearman and his grandmother, Barbara Ann Spearman.

Horace leaves to cherished his memories one brother, Damion Cromwell; two sisters, Zyniah Skye Cromwell and Haiyuanna Cromwell all of Columbus, GA; step father, Anthony Ford; loving grandfather, Richard Lee Lewis of Phenix City, AL; aunt, Sabrina Spearman Lyles of Midland GA; four uncles, Richard (Katrina Spearman) of Smith Station, AL, Jerome Spearman of Phenix City, AL. Leonard Cromwell of Columbus, GA and Alonzo Cromwell of New Mexico; a special devoted friend Tekela Whittlesey; special and devoted friends from childhood to adulthood Jonathan Sumbry, Anna Sumbry, James Sumbry, Randall Moffett, Marquis Parker, Marcellius Brewer and Khiry Brewer; four special cousins, Breona Spearman, Jasmine Spearman, Marquavious Spearman, Darius Morgan a host of family and friends.
