Funeral services will be held on Monday November 20, 2023, 11:00 a.m., New Horizon Church International, 1770 Ellis Ave. Jackson, MS 39209. Burial will be held in Cedarwood Memorial Park Cemetery, 340 New Market Drive Jackson, MS 39209.
OBITUARY
Mr. Dexter Alex Wade was born on November 21, 1985 to Walter Wade, Jr. and Bettersten Robinson Wade in Jackson, MS. Dexter was the middle son of three siblings. Dexter was reared in Jackson, MS. He earned his education through the Jackson Public Schools District: Elementary education at Pecan Park Elementary, Middle school education at Blackburn Middle School & High school education at Jim Hill High School. Dexter was a very quiet and humble person. He would always find a way to help someone in their time of need. Dexter had a true heart of gold.
Dexter loved to talk, and express himself in a unique way. He loved to make those around him laugh. Growing up Dexter always wanted to become a business owner, and the help of his mother he obtained his own business: Dex Roofing, LLC. Dexter had a passion and love for his craft in the roofing industry.
Dexter always wanted to see his hometown of Jackson, MS change for the better. He loved all of his family, friends & clients. Dexter will be missed by all those who knew and loved him as Dexter Alex Wade.
Dexter was proceeded in death by his paternal grandparents: Walter & Alma Wade. His maternal grandfather: Earnest Robinson. He was also proceeded in death by a host of aunts & uncles, family and friends.
The loving memories of Dexter will be forever cherished by his loving mother: Bettersten Robinson Wade. His father: Walter Wade, Jr. Two beautiful children: Johnelle I. Thomas & Jaselyn J, Thomas. Two sisters: Latonya L. Moore (Willie D. Moore) & Amberia Wade. Grandmother: Vernice Robinson. Aunts: Earnestine Wilson, Fatima Wade, Litha Akins, Jeanette Wade, Alice Coleman, Dairy Norman & Beulah Wade. Uncles: Frank Robinson, Jerry Robinson, James Wade & Kenneth Ray Wade. Nephew: Willie D. Moore, Jr. Niece: Tayona P. Robinson. Dexter also leaves to cherish a host of cousins, family & friends who loved him dearly.
