Dorothy Korom Blackwell passed away suddenly after a long hard fought struggle with a number of serious illnesses. Dorothy was born April 11, 1938 in Barberton Ohio to Joseph Korom and Eleonora Mae Cyphers and was one 11 children. She was married to and was divorced Frank W Blackwell Jr who was the great love of her life and was a member of the Celestial Tones at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Coatesville, PA. She loved to travel and saw most of the United States by planes, trains and automobile. She especially enjoyed visiting family and the mountains and beaches of California and North Carolina. She loved keeping her mind sharp by working on brains breakers, jigsaw puzzles and playing on the computer. She was a fiercely independent survivor. Most of importantly she LOVED her children. Nothing made her happier or prouder than her kids. She is survived by 5 children Frank Warick Blackwell III of Los Angeles, CA, Michael Steven Blackwell of Raleigh, NC, Gregory Blackwell of Apex, NC, Paul Blackwell of Los Angeles, CA and Christine Joy Gilmore of Garner, NC; brothers and sisters Joanne Korom Benoit, Edith Martin, Judy Korom Moyer Parish, Irma Wilson and Donald Korom as well as 7 grandchildren Lacoya Blackwell Simpson, Paul Blackwell Jr, Tyrone Blackwell, Jordeo Blackwell, Amadeo Blackwell, Francisco Alvarez-Blackwell, Cecelia Alvarez-Blackwell, and host of nieces and nephews. She will be very sorely missed.

My deepest sympathies to the Blackwell family. Please know my cousins that you are in my prayers and thoughts during this difficult time. Aunt Dorothy in now in a better place, without pain. She is watching over you all. She is now with many of her siblings. Faith will guide you all in the days to come. Put aside your differences, your animosities. Embrace and comfort each other. I send my love to my family.

Hi my name is Kayla and I am a local bible teacher. I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. There is a very comforting scripture at Isaiah 25:8. It says that soon Jehovah will swallow up death forever and that he will wipe away all of the tears. So we can all look forward to a time when death will be no more. I hope that this scripture can bring some true comfort during these difficult times.

Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. Many have found true comfort in the pages of God's word the Bible (2 Corinthians 1:3, 4). In God's word we find the promise that we can be reunited with our loved ones (John 5:28,29; Acts 24:15). The Bible tells us where this happy reunion will take place (Psalm 37: 11, 29; Matthew 5:5). We are told why we die (Genesis 3:17-19; Romans 5:12), and that Jehovah, the God of the Bible (Psalm 83:18), will end death forever (Isaiah 25:8; Revelation 21:3,4). At John 8:32 Jesus said ' and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free'. For more information please visit the website jw.org.
