Melaise “Lisa” Hollis was born and raised in Dixie, GA, on November 17, 1964, to the late King and Dorothy Hollis.

Melaise departed this life on November 18, 2023, at South Georgia Medical Center of Valdosta, GA.

Melaise was preceded in death by her parents, King and Dorothy Hollis; two sisters, Frances and Rosalyn Hollis; four brothers, King Jr., Craig, Ronald, and Danny; and one sister-in-law, Alice Hollis.

She leaves to mourn her caring, devoted sister, Peggy Hollis; her sisters, Eleanor, Elaine, Joann, and Regina; two sisters-in-law, Vera and Joyce; two brothers, Wayne (Carolyn) and Alex; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 25, 2023 at the Stevens-McGhee chapel from 3-5PM.

A celebration of life will be Sunday, November 26, 2023 at 1PM at the Quitman Church of God. Burial will follow in Simmon Hill Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
