Mr. Charlie “Chuck” Jones, Jr., 70, of Phenix City, AL passed Monday, November 27, 2023 in Columbus, GA.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. EST, Monday, December 4, 2023 at Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Charlie L. Sanders, Jr., officiating. Burial to follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 12 - 5 p.m. EST.

Mr. Charlie Jones, Jr., affectionately known as "Chuck" was born April 26, 1953 in Phenix City, Alabama to the late Charlie Jones, Sr. and the late Edith Scott Jones. On November 27, 2023 God sent one of his angels to St. Francis Hospital to bring Chuck home for his eternal rest.

Chuck accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Phenix City, Alabama. He was an active member and served as a faithful deacon until his health began to fail which prevented him from attending in person service.

He matriculated through the Phenix City School System and graduated from Central High School in 1971. After graduation he went on to work at Eagle Phenix Textiles and later retired from Southern Phenix Textiles.

On April 21, 1990 Chuck married his forever bride, Rosalyn Sanks. In this union they raised two children and lived in marital bliss for a happy 33 years.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie E. Jones and Terry L. Jones; sister-in-law, Gail Green Gilliam; nephew, Reginald Harris.

His memories will forever live on in the hearts of his wife, Rosalyn Sanks Jones of Phenix City, AL; two children, Amelia Barker and Michael Barker both of Phenix City, AL; one granddaughter, Eden Barker; four goddaughters, Tkeyah, Quiniya, Demetria and Rhonda; two sisters, Esqueline (Maurice) Willis and Mona Taylor; mother in law, Bertha (Charlie) Edmond; four brothers-in-law, Richard Sanks, Charles (Angel) Edmond, Curtis Edmond and Reginald Edmond; two sisters-in-law, Marion Jones and Sandra (Jose) Tores; nephews, Terry, Courtney, Charlie, Desmond, Micah, Charles, Jr., Antonio and Michael; nieces, Siobhan, Antjuana, Amanda, Katrice, Simone, Ameysthe, Chelsi, Kierra, Connie and Destiny; special friends, Charlie, Robert, Timothy, JB, Gail, Mitchell, Andrew; spiritual brother, Tyrone and a host of other relatives and friends.
