Mr. Terry Curtis Embry of Radcliff Kentucky went home to be the Lord on Friday, November 24, 2023, at Signature Health Care Center, Elizabethtown Kentucky. Mr. Embry was born on October 31, 1935, in Richmond Kentucky.

Mr. Embry joined the Army in 1960 serving for 21 years and attaining the rank of Sergeant First Class (E7) while receiving the National Defense Service Medal; Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal; Good Conduct Medal (5 Awd), Expert Qual Badge – Rifle M-16.

Mr. Embry was a member of First Baptist Church and served as a faithful member and Deacon. T.C. was a devoted member of the Masonic Family holding 32nd degree. He was a member of the Disabled American Veteran (DAV), President Kentucky Foster Care Association, Training Officer of Foster Care for 15 years, and 2nd Vice President of the NAACP and a mentor to many. He was the receipt of Foster Care of the Year for 5 years, held the honor of being a Kentucky Colonel. T.C. believed in his work with the foster care system and adopted three children. He was the President of the Grapevine High School Alumni Association and the Twin Goggin/Embry Family Reunion for 31 years.

Mr. Embry was preceded in death by his parents Wallace and Hattie Embry; his first wife Sarah Embry; brother Shirley Embry.

Mr. Embry leaves to cherish his memory, wife Annie Owens-Embry of Radcliff; two sons Matthew Embry of Radcliff, Jeremiah Thornton of Hodgenville; one stepson, Kenneth Owens, of Las Vegas NV; one daughter, Sheila Embry of Radcliff; two stepdaughters Kelly Owens-Ward, Killeen TX, Tornya Kelton of Madison, AL; nine grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; one sister Mary Bates of Cleveland, OH; and a host of other relatives, and friends.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2023, at First Baptist Church Elizabethtown with Dr. Roderick Jones officiating. Burial will follow in North Hardin Memorial Gardens in Radcliff with full Militay rites. Visitation after 5:00 p.m. Friday at Percell & Sons Funeral Home.
