I would like to offer my condolences to the Pearson family. 86 years is quite an accomplishment according to the Bible (Psalm 90:10) and I know Mrs. Edith has left you with many precious memories and will be greatly missed. Hopefully this scripture will give you comfort because Jehovah God (Psalm 83:18) is promising us he will do away with man's worst enemy, death. This is found for us at Rev. 21: 4; 'And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.' The Bible also enlightens us at Hebrews 2:14 'so that through his (Jesus) death, he (Jesus) might bring to nothing the one having the means to cause death, that is, the Devil.' For more comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. It has given me hope, strengthened my faith and helped me find the answer to Why? I know it will do the same for you. God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matthew 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises including the resurrection. John 6: 40 tells us: 'For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him on the last day.' Also, Titus 1: 2 tells us this promise of a resurrection: 'is based on a hope of the everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago. Isaiah 26:19 'Your dead will live......And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life.' Isaiah 25:8 'He will swallow up death forever. For Jehovah himself has spoken it.' This is a wonderful promise made to us by our heavenly father and I pray it brings you comfort and hope. Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. Again, I offer my sincere condolences to the family. Dear Family, On behalf of the North Carolina Association for Women in Ministry, Inc. and yours truly, extend our deepest sympathy in the passing of such a devoted Woman of God. Pastor Pearson was a great influence in the lives and ministries of so many young women in ministry. She always sought to stimulate the growth of missionary interest among the women of the church and community. She was a model of personal evangelism and soul winning. She taught us the power of prayer and the meaning of living a holy life before God and His people. Pastor Edith is now resting from her labors so we pledge ourselves to cherish her memory and to emulate her life of Christian devotion and service. To live is Christ but to die is gain! Blessed be the Name of the Lord!

- Reverend Dr. Mary M. Heggie

To my sister-in-law Patricia and her children. God sends his Angels to bring his own from earth's turmoil to heavenly peace. God prepared a place of refuge and reward for one Pastor Edith Pearson, one that has labored for him all of her life. She was a child of the King and confessed his name wherever she went. Rest on Pastor Pearson safe int the arms of your Lord and Savior Jesus The Christ.
