Mrs. Dorothy "Lue" Vinson

Mrs. Dorothy Freeman Vinson, affectionately known as Lue, was born on September 9, 1950, to the late Mrs. Virginia Hammock Freeman Traylor and the late Mr. Roosevelt Quiller in Thomaston, Upson County, Georgia. She attended public school in the Upson County School System and attended Drake High School.

During her early adult life, she married Mr. Jimmy Vinson. To this union two children were born. To help support her family she was employed by Thomaston Mills. In her early years, she was a cosmetologist and enjoyed her trade.

Dorothy was a member of the Church of God By Faith Church. She enjoyed the preaching of the word and lived it out each day.

During her leisure time, she enjoyed going to church, fishing, interior decorating an spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one siter, Frances Middlebrooks. On Friday, November 24, 2023, the Lord called her name. She answered the call and went home to eternal rest. She will be greatly missed by her family.

She leaves to cherish her memory her step-mother, Mrs. Becky McClendon of Florida; two children Mr. Fredderick Vinson and Mrs. Theresa Vinson Gray both of Thomaston, GA; six grandchildren, Mr. Corderre Vinson, Ms. Keisha Searcy, Ms. Martishus Williams, Ms. Acazzmeoanda Miller, Ms. Fre' Neidha Vinson and Mr Carson Gray; five sisters, Mrs. Patsy McKinney, Mrs. Sharon Andrews, Mrs. Jan (Andre) Wright all of Thomaston, GA. Ms. Lisa Quiller and Ms. Jennifer Quiller both of Columbus, OH; two brothers, Mr. Rooselvelt Quiller, Jr., of Columbus, OH and Mr. Tim (Carol) Quiller of Atlanta, GA; aunts and uncles includes, Mrs. Lucille Gray of Atlanta, GA. Mrs. Betty Snipes and Mrs. Doris Hammock both of Thomaston, GA, Mr. Eugene Hammock of Buffalo, NY, and Mr. Charles Hammock of Detroit, MI; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
