William Walter Barrett Sr., 88, of Charlotte, died peacefully at his home on Monday, November 27th, 2023. A celebration of his life will be held at Kings Funeral Home located at 4000 Beatties Ford Rd, Charlotte, N.C. 28216, on Tuesday, Dec 5th with visitation at 11 am. Followed by a memorial service at noon. The family will receive friends after the service at 2 pm at the River Buffet and Grill 8215 University Blvd. Charlotte, North Carolina 28213. Interment will be on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 10:00 AM in Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury North Carolina.

William Sr. was preceded in death by his father William Edgar Barrett, his mother Doris Amanda Harris, and sister Wilma Barrett Green. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Yvonne McBride Barrett, his son William Walter Barrett Jr, grandson William Nigel Barrett, his daughter Andrea Michele Barrett, sister Deborah Mitchell (Carl Connelly), Alberta “Candy” Monique Barrett.
