Metoka 'Tobie' Welch Trice, 75 of 150 Gas Light Creek Ct. Apt. 104 of Raleigh, NC passed on May 21, 2017 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, NC.

Those remaining to cherish her precious memory are her beloved mother, Mattie R. Welch of Halifax, NC; her faithful husband Frank E. Trice Sr. of the home; her devoted children: Renee Pindle Hendricks Parham (Terry) of Raleigh, NC, Monica Pindle of New York City, Conrad Trice (Jackie) of Raleigh, NC, Frank Trice Jr. of Raleigh, NC, Kimberly Trice Clark of Fuquay-Varina, NC. ; five wonderful grandsons: Warren Hendricks (Maya), Shelden Hendricks (Richelle) both of Raleigh, NC, Brandon Hendricks (Valerian) of Ft. Worth, TX, Derrick Trice (Mary) of Raleigh, NC, Noah Clark of Fuquay-Varina, NC; 2 beautiful granddaughters: Tasha Trice Joyner (Craig) of Raleigh, NC, Tamika Trice Tomlinson (Marcus ) of Raleigh, NC ; 10 precious great- grandchildren: Leilani, Reid, Brooklyn, Nona, August, Derrick Jr, Rose, Lillie,Maaliyah andMakiyah; her caring siblings: Paula W. Mayes of Halifax, NC, John A Welch Jr. of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Wiley E. Welch Sr (Velma) of Creswell, NC, and Bishop Wayne I Welch Sr. (JoAnn) of Halifax, NC; a very special neice Stefanie Mayes Bostic (Mel) of Raleigh, NC; a host of loving nieces , nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

I'm sorry to hear about your recent loss. Surely these are difficult times. May you find some comfort in the words of Psalms 46:1 which reads: 'God is our refuge and strength, A help that is readily found in times of distress.' How good to know that our Loving God is there to help us in our most trying moments. This scripture holds true of the Welch and Redwood Family who have been friends of ours for many, many years, to the point that they are our family. Even though death does not bring happiness, we have relished many cherishable moments with Metoka, her siblings and her beloved Mother, Mrs. Mattie Redwood Welch.
