To the tobler family...i share your grief. "Big C" was a dear friend, to me. He cut my hair, for over 30 years. I refused to let anyone else cut it. He was a master barber and a friend. He was full of life and fun! He kept gate-5 barber shop patrons, in "stitches"(laughing)" i shall never forget him! We've lost a good man!Q78DFE

Cecil 'Big C' Tobler was my main barber for the last 20 years. But as many will attest to, he was more than that. It was literally an "experience " to go over to get your hair cut and enjoy the many different conversations with him. Politics, religion, you name it...to my favorite 'the best athlete in Perry high history!' I Will definitely miss those talks. Sending love, thoughts and prayers to the family...πŸ™πŸΏπŸ™πŸΏπŸ™πŸΏ

To the Tobler family, Please accept my sincerest condolences for the loss of your loved one. The world is a lesser place without Cecil in it! Cecil stood out amongst barbers by not only being the best at his profession, but by equally being a great friend to all that knew him. He was a pillar within this community and his loss will be felt for many years to come. I'm blessed to have known and fellowshipped with Cecil for the past 25 years. I know he loved his craft and always looked forward to the next customer in the chair. Even the Pandemic couldn't keep him down as he opened up his home and made sure his clients remained well groomed! Thank you for that brother! RIPπŸ™πŸ½ Big C and make those in the Upper Room look as good as you made us! God Bless! Vic Murray

To the Tobler family I offer my deepest sympathy. Cecil was my barber for over 30 years. But he was more than that.....he was a friend that brought joy to everyone that sat in his chair. He was sure to put a smile on your face no matter what you or he was going through at the time. Cecil was a highly skilled barber... a true professional that took his time and made you feel like you were his only customer. Even after I moved to Florida I made it a point to stop by Gate 5 whenever my travels took me that way. Yes, to sit in Cecil's chair and get a cut but also to see my good friend and get caught up on the latest "barber shop news" . Like others I will miss you ....things won't be quite the same without you. Rest In Peace and may God comfort the Tobler familyβ€”Leon Carey

I will miss Cecil.Even though he wasn't my barber he made it fun to just go to the barber shop. I will miss the back and forth banter that we always had when I was there. It will be kinda quiet now that he isn't there. Nobody could talk trash like he could.I will miss him very much and may he rest in piece.

To the Tobler family,I am extending my deepest condolences. Cecil was not only my barber for 15 years, he was a friend, just like all of the other barbers, in the Gate 5 Barbershop. We had conversations on a number of life arturining topics and issues. I am going to miss those philosophical topics. Rest well my friend, God Bless you, and your family my Brother!πŸ˜‡ LaJuan Sawyer 3

Cecil was my man, he use to cut my beard every Friday morning. I waited 50 minutes to be the first one in his chair. He was a good friend that loved to cut hair and talk sports. His passing is hard on me I lost a good friend. RIP my friend. Bryant "Chief" Cole
