Mr. Ruffin, I am so very sorry for your loss. While I did not know your mother I know you and she allowed you to be the compassionate, giving man you are today. So, she did an amazing job being mom. I send hugs to you and your entire family. Love you dearly my friend,

- Sue Tooley

Thomas words cant explain how I feel, I feel your pain. Your mom was a wonderful lady. I will always have a special place in my heart for her. Keep your head up. Earth has no sorrow that heaven cant heal.

We deeply feel for what you and the family are going through. At times, there isn't much that can soothe the pain this grief brings, but you may find some comfort in the words of Psalms 9:9 which reads: 'Jehovah will become a secure refuge for the oppressed, A secure refuge in times of distress.' Yes, our Loving God can help if we allow him to (1John 5:14). He also has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth, when it is restored to a Paradise (Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:9-11,29). No, not just a dream, but for a certainty he will do it, for Isaiah 55:11 shows us that everything he says, he accomplishes without fail. Find out more about this resurrection online at JW.ORG

Thomas, in time the heart heals, leaving us with memories. Not of our sorrow, but of the love we have known. Our thoughts and sympathy are with your family.

I would like to offer my condolences to the Ruffin family. 80 years is quite an accomplishment according to the Bible (Psalm 90:10) and I know Ms. Mary has left you with many precious memories and will be greatly missed. Hopefully scripture will give you comfort because our loving heavenly Father, Jehovah God (Psalm 83:18), is promising us he will do away with man's worst enemy, death. This is found for us at Rev. 21: 4; 'And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.' For more comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. It has given me hope, strengthened my faith and helped me find the answer to Why? I know it will do the same for you. John 17;3 God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matthew 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises including the resurrection. John 6: 40 tells us: 'For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him on the last day.' Also, Titus 1: 2 tells us this promise of a resurrection: 'is based on a hope of the everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago. Isaiah 26:19 'Your dead will live......And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life.' Isaiah 25:8 'He will swallow up death forever. For Jehovah himself has spoken it.' This is a wonderful promise made to us by our heavenly father and I pray it brings you comfort and hope. Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7, Psalm 34:18 Again, I offer my sincere condolences to the family.
