Mrs. Hazel D. Faison was called hon to be with the Lord on December 10, 2023. She was preceded in Death by her Father Rubin Dawson, Mother Ella G. Simmons, Husband David Faison Jr. Daughter Vernell Jones, Sons Wilbert A. Faison, and Rickey R. Faison.
She leaves to cherish 1 sister (Rufus) Bessie Barnes, Panama City, Fl, (Son) Kelvin T. Faison, Port Richey, Fl. Grandsons Chistopher Faison, Marquis Faison, granddaughter/daughters Chemere Davis of Austin, Tx. Kelsea L. Faison and Christiona, Faison.
She was also preceded in death by 7 brothers, Alonzo Black, Issac Simmons, Sylvester Simmons, Cornelias Simmons, Clearence Simmons, William Simmons, and Jesse Dawson.
She graduated from Mayhaw High School in Blountstown, Fl. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Panama City, Fl. met and married her true devoted love David Faison Jr. on March 15, 1955. They remained by each other’s side for 55 years, 1 month and 1 day until his departure. She devoted her life to her husband and her family. She was devoted and advanced through the ranks of her gainful employments anywhere she received an opportunity. When she was not at work she was ironing, cooking, cleaning, and sewing for her family. She also derived great pleasure in taking care of her grandchildren.
She was employed as a House Maid Supervisor at the Fountain Blue Hotel as well as many other hotels on Panama City, Beach. Everyone loved her and every job she had she was proud to say she made supervisor. She also worked at Arnold Ware Rogers as a warehouse assembly worker. She would eventually be hired by Building Services Unlimited as a Domestic Engineer and then supervisor which she remained with the company 29.5 years prior to her retirement from Naval Coastal Systems Center.
Homegoing Celebration Services will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Panama City FL with Bishop Lonnie Mitchell officiating.
She will be laid to rest in Hillside Cemetery next to her husband of 55 years the late Davd Faison and the caring staff of Battle Mortuary will be directing.
