Long time Lebanon resident and local weekly newspaper salesman, Hurley Roscoe Graves, 64, passed away on Sunday, December 17 at Quality Center for Rehabilitation and Healing in Lebanon.
Mr. Graves was a resident of Cedarcroft Home and sold newspapers door-to-door in Lebanon for The Wilson World and later The Wilson Post since the early 1980’s.
Originally from Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, Hurley was a huge fan of Blue Devil Football and would attend most home games during his active years.
He loved diet cokes and most anything sweet. He was often seen selling newspapers around the holiday season in a Santa suit giving candy out to his customers.
Hurley was preceded in death by his parents Jewell Graves and Frances Carr Graves.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 27, in the chapel of JC Hellum Funeral Home in Lebanon. Service to begin at 1:00 p.m. conducted by Tommy A. Bryan, II, John B. Bryan and Robert P. “Tick” Bryan.
Honorary pallbearers include T. A. & Jean Bryan, Troy Putman, Jay White, Diana Cavender, Administration and Staff and Residents of Cedarcroft Home, Inc.
