Ms. Dorothy Jean Carter, 74, entered into rest, Wednesday, December 20, 2023, in Augusta, GA.

She leaves to celebrate her legacy a loving daughter, Charlene (Leonard) LeSure of Powder Spring, GA.; two sons, Jeffery (Deborah) Carter of Evans, GA. and Jonathan (Maria) Carter of Hephzibah, GA.; bonus daughter, Patricia Carter of Augusta, GA.; siblings, Wilford (Elaine) Betha, Zeb T. (Iralene) Betha, Nonie Thomas, Willie Mae White, Thelma (James) Johnson, Gregory (Roberstine) Walker, Rita (Stanley), Essie (Sam), Alice (Fred), Arnold (Dee), Donna (Jay), Nina, and William (Semone); two sisters-in-law, Juanita Walker and Yolanda Walker; special aunt, Christine McGruder; fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of life will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 28, 2023, in the chapel at Kinsey & Walton Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
