Selvamani P. Mangalam, 77, passed away Monday, December 18, 2023. Selvi, as she was known to her friends and family, was a nurse in Vellore, India before moving to Elizabeth City, NC. She settled with her family in Butner, NC, working at Murdoch Development Center until her retirement.

Selvi passed away surrounded by her family after a long illness. She was born on June 6, 1946. She is survived by husband Jesudasan, sons Thomas (Elizabeth), Benjamin (Samantha), and her five grandchildren Trinity, Abigail, Donald, Raj, and Ben Jr.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 3:15pm at the Community Methodist Church in Butner, NC.

A second memorial will be held at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Butner, NC on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 5:00pm. All are welcome at both events.
