John Willis Fry Jr., 69 of Alvord, TX, passed away Monday, December 25th, 2023 in Decatur, TX.

A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024 at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.

John was born December 20, 1954 in Plainview, TX to John Willis Sr. and Nancy (Smith) Fry. He attended Amarillo High School. John worked as a truck driver for most of his life, working for Yellow Freight for 25 years. His passion was raising cattle and bucking bulls, and enjoyed fishing.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Fry.

John is survived by his wife, Susan Jones of Alvord; his sons, Jason Spurlock of Orchard Park, NY and Jacob Fry of Amarillo; his father, John W. Fry and wife Mary of Amarillo; brothers, Tom Fry and wife Catherine of Bowie and Rod Fry of Kerrville, TX; sister, Debbie Ozzie and husband Kenny of Aledo, TX; and grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Alex Spurlock.

Should friends desire, memorials can be made in honor of John to the American Cancer Society.
