Obituary For Ms. Darnella Lester

Darnella G. Lester was born on June 2, 1938 to the late Christine Bethea and Benjamin Horne. She departed this earthly life on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at the McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence, South Carolina.

Darnella attended the public schools of Marion County, South Carolina.

She worked on the farm and did domestic work in New Haven, New York.

Darnella was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters: Annie Ray Bethea and Mary Ann Williams.

She leaves to cherish her fond and loving memories ~ six nieces: Pamela Jones, Jamila Jones, Flora Ellerbee, Mary Lee, Jamysia Nails, Jariah and Jaziah Jones and one sister: Rosie Mae Horne; seven nephews: Lionel Jones, Samuel (Mary) Jones, Calvin Ellerbee, Wayne Ellerbee, Jamarion Jones, Mike Jones and Jo’Myka Nails; two step-sons: Sammy Jones and Tommy Jones; one sister-n-law: Tilla Lester; a special friend like a sister: Pearl Peterson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
