Gail Forbes Sykes 61, a native of the James City Community passed Thursday , December 28, 2023, at Doctors Hospital, Augusta, GA.

Her Funeral service is Noon, Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Pilgrim Chapel M. B. Church 313 Elder St. Interment at the Meadows Cemetery, James City Community.

Gail is survived by her sons, Shawn Sykes, Grovetown, GA, Terrence Sykes, Augusta, GA; daughter, Anika Sykes, Virginia Beach, VA; brothers, Nathaniel Artis, Norfolk, VA, Wayne Artis, New Bern, NC, Elijah James Forbes, Jr., Ohio and Aaron Forbes, FL; one sister, Shelia Henderson, Norfolk, VA; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
